The second generation of Boss arrived with a question: how could we offer our clients more than moving their goods? The answer came from where we least expected it: a cycling story.
For more than a hundred years, British cycling had won just one Olympic gold medal and had never won the Tour de France. When Dave Brailsford took charge, he didn’t promise radical change. He set himself a far humbler goal: to improve by 1% every small thing around the bike. A more comfortable saddle, a different way of washing hands to avoid falling ill, the pillow each rider slept on. A few years later, that team dominated the Olympic Games and the Tour.
